About PCG

 Peterborough Community Garden January 2011

Situated in the dry upper Mid North of South Australia Peterborough experiences dry, scorching summers with frosty winters. Snow is rare these days but lingers as a possibility.

We couldn't have picked a more inhospitable site for the community garden. Situated on a west facing slope it is open to winds from all direction, on what seems to be solid rock!
We will battle rabbits, locusts, lack of rainfall and weeds in our efforts to grow our food locally.

The Primary Function of the Garden is:
To enhance the mental, physical and social health of the community, promote the benefits of fresh food in people’s diets of Peterborough and Districts by establishing a community garden for all community members.
